Setting up the Safety Mode

Examples are valid for:
TMflow Software version: All versions
TM Robot Hardware version: HW3.2
Other specific requirements: None
Note that older or newer software versions may have different results.

To put the robot into the safety mode, press the ESTOP button on the Robot Stick, or disconnect the safety input/output (I/O) line and restart. Once the robot enters the safety mode, the indicator ring light on the robot will turn light blue. In this mode, no projects can be executed, and moving the joints by holding the Freebot will become more difficult.

At this point, make sure the safety IO line is connected, and hold the Stop button on the Robot Stick for three seconds. Then the robot will do startup calibration and return to its original operating mode.

For more information on the Safety mode and Emergency Stop mode, read the “Explanation of Safety Functions” section in the Safety Manual.
